Lars Kroijer, author of Investing Demystified and a former hedge fund manager, has created a five-video series to explain investing, why you can’t beat the market, and why that fact is important. So if you don’t have the time to read his 200-page book, these videos are a great shortcut.
Below is the fourth video of the series, entitled “The simple portfolio to suit your risk”. In it, Kroijer advises that you vary the proportion of your portfolio that’s allocated to the lowest-risk assets ‒ cash and government bonds ‒ to suit your risk profile.
If you haven’t yet watched the first three videos in the series, do that now, then come back here to watch the fourth. We look forward to hearing your feedback and views in the comment section.
